    Dearly, 150 dollars? No, even my Onkyo DAC-HA200 costed me 300 euros and I think it's a very reasonable price for that kind of quality

      Ironic a essential phone lacks all the essentials..

        So many money and energy wasted for a product that nobody will buy, for a phone totally absent on market. At 150 euro i can buy a superb bluetooth headphones amplifier like Fiio BTR3 and use it even at tv.

          Great tech and all, but it's just been too long. It's not like a PC where you upgrade. This phone has been average since day 1, the price drop made it a bit more attractive but at this point there's just no point in any of this. Essential will most probably die out soon and are selling their stocks off to recover what they can.

            Make sense because development had to be very advanced as Essential got troubled. And Sabre DACs for USB, easily reach 300$, so they will just try to recover what they spent or even earn a little. In the end, clearing stocks

              Surely the quality of accessory is great, but the price is insane & laughable for such utility. For a phone launched in May-2017, who will consider investing in such an expensive accessory when the company has already hinted at discontinuing smartphone business (so no successor or other phone (than Essential PH-1) can use this accessory

                  Launching accessories for discontinued phones? Loser strategy especially at that price for something they should have installed into the phone.

                      I have an essential phone and can't see them selling many of these, I hope they've not order much production. They'll probably be bundling them with the last few phones they sell.

                        So basically you use this to transform your essential phone into an lg phone... Better buy a refurbished v20 from aliexpress, it costs 150$ , the same as this adaptor, but you also get a capable smartphone with 2 cameras, HIFI microphones and removable battery.
