Apple are being sued for purposefully slowing down phones with updates to get you to buy new ones.

Dear Google, hardware flaws and ridiculous pricing apart, plain Android is archaic and difficult. I am an Android user, but to everyone who prioritises updates, long software support, simplicity, speed and out of the box usability in their phone, they better go for iOS.

Apples are expensive, have horrible battery, but have good software support and remain fast for nearly the life of the phone. If not, please try Xiaomi, Huawei, Samsung or any OEM that has a decent Android based UI. They are much better than plain Android.

Google should focus on making stock Android better and making sure OEMs comply with at least security updates if not os updates. With the Pixel line riddled with so many issues, it's a guide for other Android OEMs on how not to do things rather than a torch bearer for Android.

It can not be. This is a perfect phone.....🐵🐵

I have not experienced those yet. Got to say the 3 is stunning though. Real workhorse, size look feel are so classy. All the little things they've done that my older phones could never do are very smart. Good experience over all. As for teething bugs. I'm sure they'll be updated.

Other nexus products looked nice, performed well, and had a good update life (official and non-official). Battery issues weren't uncommon among other brands, and the average nexus would pull 3-5 hours of screen-on time. So I wouldn't call it utter garbage.

I solved all these issues and the embarrassment of the hideous notch by not buying a Pixel 3XL. Quite pleased with my lack of purchase.

You'd think people would still trust Google devices after the mess of failure the Pixel phones created??
Assume that their prices are very reasonable; we have a lot of Android One phones in the cheap! Especially from Nokia, a very reputable Finnish brand that's now under control of a great Chinese company, and has proven to excel in build quality and with very few known software problems.
They could continue their Pixel lineup and have future versions be worked out with more experienced hardware engineers and improve their quality standards.

All that changed between Nexus and Pixel is the Cameras and Price tags, what remained is endless problems, with people getting early access to what is essentially Beta software.
