I would slide it about 300 times a day (I'm a reasonably heavy phone user like most people).
And if you think that's impossible, count how many times you touch your phone each hour?
300 x 365 x 5 years = 547,500
Also , testing the phone in an office with A/C 600,000 times is not real world testing!
Grit will get into the mechanism plus temperature / humidity variations would increase wear... In addition the human hand is not going to slide the phone in a perfect way and this will also increase wear.
This is why the manufacturer has said 300,000 slides....because they only expect 1000 days of use.

This is good to know though if you ever compete in the Mobile phone slider marathons. I wonder who would win between the Mix 3, the Nex S and Oppo Find X if they all battle it out for top slider durability. Why do they all have an X in their marketing names?
