The real Nokia never had to have 200 camera holes in the back to make a good camera phone eg Nokia 808 Pureview, so what is this trend of having multiple holes in the back that looks bloody awful!

Anonymous, 19 Nov 2018Yet the single Pixel camera loses to the triple camera setu... morehuawei is da king camera

Nah they're not going overboard yet. Now if they were to do SIX...

        Lol!

Talking about retarded trends... Average casual user needs one proper sensor with a bright enough aperture, good lens, OIS and decent processing software. Most of the people crying about multiple sensors will still end up using the main sensor most of the time.

Horrible design and "feature" decisions last 2 years in smartphone develpment.

oh comon make a super good optics with a single 41mp camera module-whats the shit about 5 or 69 cameras.....

i think that's gonna be true, from what i see in that design it will have 1 extreme mega |=ucking Sensor that no one could beat up, it all just takes one to beat the camera number race... the center hole could be a camera with a depth sensor, or the middle finger print only scanner, the bunch of the holes rotates to alight the the top most hole with a notch(LED or if the could nail it, both LED Hybrid Xenon Flash) so as i was saying the middle top part is the only active camera/sensor, all those around holes will loop depending on your angle of view needs, Wide/Ultra Wide/Standard/Macro/Telephoto/Super Telephoto. they will try to retrieve back their throne of camera race...

All we need more glass that pertrudes on the back of a phone.. and more things to go wrong and harder to repair.. when people normally buy a camera.. in the real world.. it’s one camera not 5.. seem gimmicky at best.. also since I bet it will use Sony’s sensors... it will average.. as I bet there calibration/setup with be poor..

More doesn’t always mean better.. Also it’s starting to make the back of phones look horrible.. it’s like the notch on the front but instead to many cameras on the back.. ffs just buy a cheap phone and a decent camera if that’s what your main preference is...

So, you all just assume multi camera works simultaneously? Thats not how it works. Kids. Hahahaha.

If that hole on the top is a headphone jack, I'll consider swapping my original Nokia 8, bootloader locked for Warranty sake to this.

I hope this doesn't suffer from the same issues the l16 Light Camera does, namely:
                              1. Extremely poor of imaging sensors (slow readout, noisy, no DRAM, no sharing of sensor information between various sensor for image fusion, tiny sensors with all sorts of other issues etc).
                              2. Lack of processing power of the processor (the unreleased Exynos 9820 and Snapdragon 8150 may be the only mobile processors with the processing power to handle so many cameras similultaneously and merge the image and data between the various cameras).
                              3. Not enough distribution of functions from the processor via ISPs and NPEe, making the speed of processing terribly slow.
                              4. Corners of the lenses were soft for a camera that was solely about creating larger photos from small and lower MP sensors.
                              5. Varying focal lengths. The whole idea of varying focal lengths was trying to have many focal lengths to zoom in between, but the implantation was a disaster.
                              6. The slower sensors mentioned above also couldn't prevent motion blur caused by moving subjects.
                              7. The lack of OIS on all Vegas caused shutter speed to always be super high, increasing with low light shooting.

aaa, 19 Nov 2018I think next version have couple thousands camera at least ... more+/- four sensors really cover most basis and with clever software, or "AI" as the call it nowadays, it should be able make something good loking as a result.

Even the age old A6000 from Sony does a great job at auto-cropping photos in a more fancy way they your regular point and shoot photographer. All whilst still keeping the full-size one as well.

i seriously hope they have done something really innovative and this will be the first 'overlapping fov array' camera setup on a smartphone. If this is true 4 cameras in an upside down Y shape would probably combine data to make a picture with an insane image quality not seen on a mobile device (if the software is good enough), then the 5th cam probably for some other improvements (possible a b&w), together with laser focus.. this would truly be insane and if that is the case, i truly cannot wait to see it.

If those are just 5 cameras for different reasons (focus, telephoto etc.. ) then probably just typical quality seen on upper range device.

user, 19 Nov 20185 now ?omg this is getting stupid already.whats next 2 notc... morewe already have phone with 2 notch (sharp aquos r2 compact)

                                        Anonymous, 19 Nov 2018why cant we have; 1.normal 2.telephoto 3.wideangle 4.ir... moreI'd take the following

16mm equivalent (w/OIS) and decent size sensor
35mm equivalent (w/OIS) and huge sensor
85mm equivalent (w/OIS) and huge sensor
135mm equivalent (w/OIS) and decent size sensor

Fifth one I'm not sure. Ultrawide or B&W?

Also would like both LED and IR lamps.
