          I hope that update makes LG V40 have a 80hr+ Battery average compared to the 2015 standard 64hrs.

                  My LG v20 still doesnt have oreo 8.0 software in South africa..stay away from LG phones..rather go Sony...they r much better with updates.

                    AnonD-558092, 21 Nov 2018The V20 got Oreo. At least in CanadaYes, the carrier locked single sim versions got Oreo after 2 years, but not the dual sim (H990DS) unlocked international versions. Only TWN and SEA H990DS got Oreo.

                          not even Oreo for practically ALL the international V20 H990 dual SIM models which launched with Nougat in Sept. 2016 and are still with Nougat more than two years later - even up to present. That's MORE THAN TWO YEARS of ZERO major android software updates and ZERO security patches since the last January 2018 patch - and in a FLAGSHIP PHONE that launched at $799 price tag FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! LG? NEVER EVER again.

                            Unlike Samsung though, LG will rolling out the Pie update to V40 ThinQ only; G7 ThinQ owners might have to wait for a while to enjoy the latest Android.

                            BTW, expect major tweaks to the UI when the phone is upgraded to Android Pie.
