SD630 CPU architechture (built on 7nm) process paired with Adreno 630 would be a perfect choice for this phone, except Qualcomm is too stubborn to create such a chipset.

Get USB C and wider profile -80 mm and this could be a hit!!

Abhi Dahiya, 23 Nov 2018Well, yes! It will be a gaming phone for $150 - $200 price ... moreSd636 can't even provides butter smooth 30fps medium quality 1080p (which most resolutions Sd636 put in) in some games. It should only put inside 5" 720p from now onwards. Sd 660 is OLD, don't put it on latest 1080p "gaming phone" ffs. Putting it on regular non "gaming phone" is good tho.

Only phone who can ATLEAST provide 60fps medium quality / 30 fps high quality with good screen and juices allowed to call themselves a "gaming phone". 60fps maxed quality is reserved for high end only. Don't tell me fps doesn't matter, some game literally tell user x combo will deal 4 hit on 60fps instead 3 hit on 30fps.

I noticed zero game performance penalty reducing cpu speed from 2.2 ghz to 1.6ghz. But reducing gpu speed from 530mhz to 450mhz was god awful stuttering mess. Midrange gpu just weak beyond salvation.

Well, yes! It will be a gaming phone for $150 - $200 price tag unlike other phones.

Even SD636 has decent enough GPU to excel in pretty much all games. SD660 will be even better. Don't explain in here your experiences with poor GPU equipped chips from Kirin, Mediatek and Exynos.

On the top of that there is 5000 mAh battery to keep up. And a good enough speaker. There you go, a more than decent gaming experience.

honor 8x better than this? am i right? sd660 vs kirin 710?

I don't have issues with SD660 if it's priced right. I wouldn't purchase it if there is no fast charging.

Upcoming Nokia (8.1/x7) will be expensive compared to Asus M2 & Xiaomi but it offers fast charge and OIS . Now I have realized these features cost a decent amount of money for manufacturers and are worth the extra premium over budget mobiles.

Anonymous, 23 Nov 2018They should use 670 or 675 if they call git a gaming device... moreSD675 yep, but not SD670, as it's just a 10nm version of the SD660 (14nm).
It's either the SD675 or SD710, maybe even wait for the SD730 for a real performance mid range chipset.
But to be real though, I'm waiting for a mid range chipset with flagship level GPU. Something like SD820 CPU paired with SD845 GPU, because ever since the 820, computing has never been a major concern, and most of the heaviest games on smartphones require a very powerful GPU to keep a smooth and stable graphical experience, and I think that's what matters more when it comes to gaming.

That fat notch alone makes this a no buy for me. Teardrop notch is as far as I can compromise. Just give us slim bezel phones now will you

Wish they make it water resistant like moto G3

They should use 670 or 675 if they call git a gaming device. Anyway it's nice over redmi note 6 pro.

RaviSS, 23 Nov 2018Wish it had SD670 (10 nm).... would have differentiated it ... moreThis phone will come with SD660 and I believe if this trend continue Max Pro M1 with SD636(14nm), Max Pro M2 with SD660(SD14nm), maybe Max Pro M3 will be with SD670(10nm), Max Pro M4 probably will be with SD675(11nm) and Max Pro M5 probably will be with SD67X (11,10 or7nm) or SD68X (11,10 or 7nm) chipset. For me if U dont own Max Pro M1 than Max Pro M2 is a good buying for this end 2018 and Q1 2019 but if you own the former its wise to wait for Max Pro M3 for upgrade which probably will come out in middle Q2 next years.

To me it seems, there will be 2 variants of ZMPro M2 mainly different on camera just as it been with ZMPro M1. So, ZMPro M2 higher variant will have 3 rear cameras and another variant will have dual rear camera. The official image is deliberately cut at specific point to not reveal third camera lens. Or maybe I am wrong. Let's see

Wish it had SD670 (10 nm).... would have differentiated it from the dozens of SD660 devices in the mid-range.... and yielded impressive battery life combined with that 5000 mAH.
