I am guessing too, but I read an article somewhere else stating four A76 cores, and it also makes more sense logically. Why would the flagship have only one A76 core, when a mid-ranger (SD675) has two? And three 2.4Ghz A75 cores would actually be a downgrade from SD845.

The fastest core that is reserved for bechmarks ;)
Seriously though, I think one fast core for the main UI thread, might actually be a good idea.

2MB for large core, 1.5MB for medium cores and 1MB for smalls will do.
(that would mean: 2+4.5+4MB cache: or a total of 10.5MB of L2 cache size.
(do note that even ARM seperates it for data and Instructions. so it's 10.5MB for EACH type!)

Doesn't the article say that the 3 medium cores are same as the one used in the 845 (and hence are based on A75 and not A76)??

"So qualcomm chip will end up with higher performance (both single-core and multi core, as evidenced by the recently surfaced geekbench benchmarks)."

Let's say they're based on the A76 only, but then that additional power would come at a huge cost of efficiency compared to the Kirin, wouldn't it?

You've made your point, but you simply saw phones opening the apps, and not tried how they run those apps.
