Qualcomm stopped designing their own CPU for a few years now. They just buy from ARM now.

It was a bad decision by Samsung when they hobbled their 4K recording to match Snapdragon.

It could be possible to hide the hole with a black bar similar to how a notch is hidden now.
Also viewing a picture or video is related to aspect ratio and I currently see a lot of phones that are not showing the pictures or videos in 19:9 or 18.5:9 but rather in an 18:9 or 16:9 ratio.

Read Anandtech analysis. Infact even in speedtests, Snapdragon S9 beat Exynos S9. Also, battery life was poorer in Exynos version.

I don't care about which is faster. Just give me a damn reasonably priced phone with good camera, sd card slot, and massive battery.

Faster soc means higher price than current price which is already ridiculous.

Never before has there been such a big difference in numbers between these two SoCs... Has Samsung dropped the ball on their SoC? Or perhaps Qualcomm has outdone themselves this time?

I'll say let's wait for official numbers before coming to any conclusions.

Exynos 9810 having two additional cores for the GP compared to Kirin 980, make perfect sense the benchmark scores. But surprised that Samsung cut down the cores from the previous 18 to 20 cores they adopt.
