New Zealand rejects usage of Huawei 5G equipment over security concerns

The intelligence agency of the Pacific country cites concerns about national security.

I can't believe these countries are allowing themselves to be arm twisted by Trump. So Google, Amazon, Facebook, Apple, Qualcomm spy, have questionable labour and employee policies outside the US. But they are good guys and won't look when you are changing clothes.

But the Chinese are communists and they do bad things when they spy on you? The US tech and telecom industry need to set their anti competitive house in order first. American customers are under the grip of Apple, Qualcomm and all of their telecom service providers who never allow healthy competition.

You don't expect any better from the US. Or even Australia. But New Zealand should know better. If nothing, NZ and Australia are more dependant on China than they'd like to believe.

      The U.S. has got New Zealand in a pinch between their fingers to be honest. According to the NSA leaks, NZ happily let NSA tap their main fiber optic cable providing connectivity to the rest of the world.

      NZ will of course by Cisco or Juniper telecom equipment, which has been proven to be backdoored multiple times in the last few years.

      Apparently, if it's the U.S. who is spying then it's not a security concern.

Although huawei seems like a normal company but you need to remember communist are running China, so anytime when China asked to hand over any sort of information or data from any Chinese company they can't refuse it. That is main reason why countries are rejecting huawei

                          New Zealand has close military ties with the U.S. So their decision is logical and proper.

                                Huawei is more secure than any other phone actually it is much more secure than iPhone. New Zealand people is so dumb and dull they just lose the opportunity of having a new technology.

                                    End-to-end encryption. Or buy from Ericsson. But don't buy from the US.

                                      Many people have died on huawei implementation projects and maintenance projects, before there was team of two people to maintain network now they reduce driver and engineer have to drive and work as well.
                                      Because of over load of work many people have died in accidents, falling from telecommunication towers in huawei projects.
                                      No one knows huawei dirty face but it exists.
