I am really starting to wonder if they copy trade secrets and tech from other companies. It’s like the moment we hear rumours and leaks of new tech from the likes of Samsung and Apple, Huawei announces a new device with the same technology not so long after.

Now you complain about such trivial look alike design. You blinded yourself to the fact that huawei also innovates with 3 cameras with their p20 pro and mate 20, and don't forget night mode.
Did you go to samsung's first triple camera phone, the new A7 and complained that samsung copied huawei design?
I'm also wondering if you will say the same thing when samsung introduce night mode next year???!

Samsung is usually supplying companies like huawei and huawei supplies samsung...as far as innovation goes samsung is pretty open to share their ideas and products. Their edged screen was used by vivo and blackberry, their screens sit in every iphone (cept XR). Why would they sue them for using their technology? Most phones use Sony lenses for their cams...stealing?! Learn your arguments and don't judge on your interpretation.

Samsung released the teasers before Huawei, but these tings aren't decided and done in a few days, calm down, everybody. There were discussions with the screen manufacturers quite long before the teasers, I believe. Nobody knows who was first, first with the idea, first to get the green light from the screen providers. We only know who was first to start the teasers and who will launch it first. It doesn't even matter, it's a hole, I'm sure half of phone makers thought of it and asked around for screen suppliers. It's not as simple as "wow, I have an idea" and then next day there's a hole in the screen. It matters who does it best, let's not fall into Apple's trap with their "rounded corners" law suit.

Separate from the edge means eating a bit more into the screen, I prefer it top-center teardrop as small as possible. Well, a hole is not that bad either, but I'd like it to be as small and as close to the edge as possible. Well, that's because I can't have one without a selfie cam, unfortunately.

Sharp and Essential were the first two phones to release a notch on a cellular phone. Furthermore, Samsung started focusing on more screen estate starting with the S8 then Apple followed them. All I see is Samsung continuing their mission of more screen estate with a pinhole camera. Samsung is the real innovator. Up to now Samsung still lead the industry with innovations with it's S and Note series. I'm yet to see other manufacturers with such innovations like the sensor/gesture features that you get with Samsung flagships. Huawei is also a noteworthy contender with their gesture innovations as well. I use to say BlackBerry was overhyped and now I can easily say Apple is way overhyped. Same boring G.U.I. and non-customisable U.I. each year. I don't see a camera upgrade worthy of spending a US$1,000 each year. Probably the best thing Apple ever did was to follow Samsung and put one of Samsung's very own SuperAmoled screen into the Iphone X. Apple knows that Samsung has the best display in the world so they decided to be the true follower that they are and follow Samsung. People who swear by Apple knows nothing about technology plain and straight.
