The market already saturated with messaging apps. Why Google thinks we need more of it? As if Whatsapp is not enough. There are not enough demand for such things when everyone already accustomed to commonly used messaging apps.

The only Google service left I will continue to use is Gmail. Otherwise, I don't trust them with any other platform, since they could pull the plug at anytime. For such a large and pervading company, they make dumb decisions more often than not. It boggles the mind.

Notsure, 02 Dec 2018Who cares?I do and believe me any people out there do. This is is integrated into Gmail and everyone who had a Gmail account has this. The web version is good enough, it is platform independent, the no fiddle video chat solution and so much more. Granted there are other chat apps much better in existence, but sometimes they just can't cut it. I would like it to remain untouched so that I can have it's convenience whenever I need it.

Not a very big user and fan of hangouts lately but one thing for sure, hangouts is better than facebook messenger.the FB messenger app is becoming more of a trash than a messenger.
