nik.007, 06 Dec 2018I knew someone would definitely say this lol. Well Xiaomi ... moreNo I just mean dont say about the sound is heard so Chinese. It's so intolerance and will cause friction. Of course the cheaper price will tell the different result. Maybe the problem is Meizu export to India from Chinese (doesn't have factory in India).

Well Xiaomi launched their flagship in India in 2014 @14k, at a time when OP1 was launched at 20 or 21k. Tier 1 flagships were 40-50k that time. Xiaomi became big only and ONLY because they undercut their competetitors by a huge margin. Here, with Poco F1 at 20k, Zenfone 5z at 25k and OP6T at 38k, you really expect people to buy Meizu at 40k??

So dont underestimate the name! Just focus on what the spec, feature, and UX they provide! Also their responsibility of aftersale. It"s just about time and marketing strategy.

Anonymous, 05 Dec 2018ok people complaining about this being overpriced, what do ... moreYou need to also take into account the fact that Oppo is already a known brand in India. And Oppo has always been a brand which sells their products at a premium, like Samsung.
Meizu is unknown in India. Add to that, the name sounds too "Chinese". People gonna reject it altogether after hearing such a name.

Lenovo and ZTE are better than you Meizu! fix the price first!

I really don't know which idiot had done the market survey for meizu... Already dey don't have any hold in this market... So the shortest, easiest n the best way to make a mark in a potential market like India is to be aggressive in pricing... 16 sold in China for 27k.. in a new market 40k??? Isn't dat funny n idiotic?? Growup guys.. learn the hearts of the people before setting a price... N u r never gonna get hold in India if u don't do this... Take ma word meizu...

Much better than Meizu, OnePlus, Poco, Oppo R17 Pro.

Meizu have to stay aware after comeback that OnePlus is stealing show.

Its a joke, we will know its original price in 6 months time

No 16x or X8. It's an uphill battle for Meizu in India looking at their product portfolio, pricing and obscure status in target market.

They launch an overpriced device, and when it obviously doesn't sell, the contemplate what went wrong.
The big corporations pay huge bucks to marketing execs, who are stupid enough to set a price of 40k for this device.
Would anyone, ANYONE, buy this over the OP6T. Cmon Meizu, fire all your marketing execs, I am ready to work at half the salary, and assure you that you'll sell a lot, LOT more units :P
