Galaxy M is a new variant. I cant say much for this new model. Samsung may as well have different intention on what they want to do with it. I guess M model is meant to capture the general and common design form factor that everyone crazy about. If it fail then M series can be scrap off immediately anyway.

samsung has got it all wrongly figured out...it's market share is declining because it is not able to provide value-for-money products, and not because people want notches! and bringing a notch this late to the game, when others are finding diff. solutions, doesn't make any sense!

And not all apps behave properly with notches so the notch hides content and it's really a nerve. And even then, this makes the device asymmetrical since the top is much bigger than the bottom. It sounds like details but it's what makes a device truly enjoyable.
Like, between a S+ and a Note, I'd get a Note hands down. Why? The less rounded design. It's a detail but it makes a huge difference

It's fine if it's OLED (but I would've still preferred if there's not even one in the first place) but guess what?? This is IPS LCD!
The blacks are illuminated, making the hide option practically useless.
Hiding the notch is basically the solution to the problem the manufacturers created by themselves.
