Samsung flagship have only 12 mpix and sells very well same for many other flagships.

Same goes for Note 10 made by samsung.
Huawei P30 with 5G will be like 1100 and Pocophone would cost around 500.
Oneplus was always real flagship and with specs and price a lot better than most of its competitors only pocophone was a tottaly different league.

Perfect excuse to rise the base model without 5G too, close the difference with the 5G model and again to increase the price. Typical move. Of course without improvements more that a bit of sugar, advertasements and a hole in the screen to justify the increased price! WoW.

OnePlus, now... moreEverybody in business knows that satisfying enthusiasts is only relevant during starting phase, after that enthusiasts either move on, or demand things that the company can't deliver while maintaining good profits. So the companies turn to general public, advertising, selling just the mouthful, not everything an enthusiast would expect.
Just deal with it, find something else. A brand that stays with enthusiasts is a brand that won't grow, sadly. There are some examples of good brands growing while keeping their dignity, but they really need to be exceptional or unique, then.

His quote is not OP 5G will cost $300 more. His quote is that he believes 5G phones in general will.

OnePlus might be dieing a slow death now with this move. People brought them for affordablillty , and flagship specs now if they make a flagship at flagship price and a midrange with midrange spec.. they are no differant to anyone else so you would be better buying of a more reputable brand like Samsung , LG or Sony. Or even get a iPhone 8 as it will receive decent updates for like 3 more years..

Op isn't going high on resolutions, because they are thinking about the battery. And with the small batteries in phones, qhd is suicide. I game a lot on my phone with 3300 mah battery, so I have about 7 hours sot. Bought the rog phone and tried it out. The better screen with 4000 mah to back it up, gave the same result. Mate 10 pro even lasts 3 hours more than p10 plus, even though it's only 250 mah more. But lower resolution. Lower resolution Samsungs also lasts longer than the qhd models.

But yes, no qhd phone are built for the screen. So therefore qhd is worthless on a phone. Maybe ok for tablets, because they have bigger batteries to back it up.
