Nokia 8.1 launched in India, goes on sale December 21

Nokia 8.1 is just the Nokia X7 with Android One on it. Nokia X7 costs 246$, Nokia 8.1 costs 372$. 126$ extra just for Android One? Hell no! The camera spec looks very good but it isn't. See the camera comparisons on youtube, you will see it. it's nowhere near poco f1 both in terms of performance and camera. battery is another advantage on poco f1. You can compare it to Mi 8SE, Meizu X8 but there price is 150$ less than the Nokia 8.1. Mi 8SE has an Amoled Display too.
I think Nokia 8.1 is a total flop because of it's pricing. Nokia X7 is the bang for the buck but no Android One

Asus 5z is often available at lower price than Nokia 8.1 and is a better deal.

As the internet was noisy, Nokia 7 Plus would be a very affordable phone, but this did not happen, I believe the phone itself is very expensive by itself

With Nokia you get stock android, widevine L1(needed for Netflix, Amazon, Hulu and others to be able to access HD content, missing in almost ALL Chinese brands) and a camera that is in ANOTHER league to the likes of Pocophone. In fact NO phone in this price range offers an OIS equipped camera, apart from Zenfone 5z.
Nokia is a premium brand and it does not intend to compete at the bottom of the barrel with dirt cheap pricing at questionable quality.

In the news article, the picture is showing phone without Notch but on phone page, we can clearly see the wide notch. So which is correct? Do Nokia 8.1 have notch or not!

They live from Nokia fans loyality.
for INR 25k you can get a ZenFone 5z
w/ Snapdragon 845 and 6 GB of RAM and so on ...
Even in Europe is it on sale for €300
I think the best value phone to buy, this time . . .
even that overhyped POCO is just a joke-phone
by this ZenFone prices.
The Max Pro M2 (ZB631KL) - if you like Android pure -
will be a much better offer as well.
Sadly ASUS is the most underrated phonemaker.

Dont compare china price with global price.
In china, everything is cheaper. And count that taxes etc too.
Besides, the price is exactly the same as 7 plus when it was launced.
