Baykko, 16 Dec 2018So many people taking USA's declarations at face value, it ... moreYour comment makes too much sense and is going to offend people or be ignored unfortunately

Oh and by the way. you all are definitely being spied on right now. Do you really think Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Samsung, Apple, and most developers of every product you use don't already take the information on how you use their products and use it / sell it for profit? The real issue here is that Huawei is also doing it and Chinese companies are using it to improve the quality of their products, growing the Chinese market and threating to challenge USA's companies, so they definitely wanna stop that.

So many people taking USA's declarations at face value, it just shows how ignorant people is. then there are those being like "boo Huawei sucks just kill it already"? Have you ever stopped one second to think of how many people work for Huawei? Last time I heard they have about 120.000 in China alone, then I read another article about them hiring 1200 people to expand their offices in USA, how in the Lords name is it a good thing for all that people to lose their jobs just because you like Apple / Samssung better? How fair is it that USA is strangling Huawei without offering any proof on the matter and they so obviously are holding Meng Whanzou as a hostage in Vancouver in a way to show Huawei and China they got the power to him them hard and they will if given the chance?

I don't know if it is Donald Trump or if it's always been like this but USA is definitely showing an evil face to the world right now. They pretend to be defenders but they are acting like villains right now .

              About time

Doing a little research into this I found out that Meng Whanzou (however you spell it) has indeed some shady stuff happening based off what the Chinese ambassador has said:

“The shocked tone rings false. If China’s ambassador to Canada was really so sure Meng’s arrest was wrong, he could have filed a writ of habeas corpus to have her brought immediately before a court to determine the lawfulness of her detention. He did not.”

I think USA is trying to win this trade war using the Huawei debacle as leverage, and thus, keep their economic supremacy. But, as far a I know, there is no proof about Huawei tech being a threat to national security. It's just a economic game.

Silentasian, 15 Dec 2018I have read a news that German declined USA advice to block... moreThe NSA spied on Germany even Chancellor Merkel.
Germany responded by issuing a vast number of high ranking officials with Blackberry Z30 (BB 10 OS ) (possibly the largest single government order of Blackberry devices ever)

USA claims that the block on Huawei is in the interest of National Security but it sees no harm in spying on a Nato ally,
It appears to be a hyped up possibility of infinitesimal near non existent theoretical threat, as there is no way of knowing e.g. who would be using an apple or Huawei handset unless you actually saw that person.

The removal is taking years to be completed, and still even with current Huawei infrastructure, not one case demonstrated to show actual harm, (many facebook data breaches though)
In the US I am sure the Networks have experts who could show there is threat but would face a barrage of hostility in doing so ( e.g. Trump tariff forces Harley Davidson and General Motors to make commercial decisions, Trump attacks them, Tariffs BTW are a cost to the buyer.

Huawei have infrastructure in place now all of a sudden a threat, without the USA saying, these data breach occurred as a direct result

US is threatened by Huawei's rapid success, that's it.

Until the new "Encryption Law" passes, meaning the likes of Amazon, Facebook, Google, Apple, Samsung, Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo etc etc now legally HAVE to install backdoors into the products and the services to give access to ALL police officers who WANTS to get information about ANY person.

Pretty stupid scary stuff. At least, the vague language allows it so.
