But its not an a-hole design. Its a hole design. The alternative is the notch. Or v or u shaped designs but these are also good but also available in 200-300 dollar phones. If this phone and the A8 had the above same designs would people buy them? And there will be people who will like this designs too.

But i read that apple has patents to prevent other companies from doing this. Or huawei,samsung are holding back bezeless designs for their next year flagships. Hope the second point is true.

Unfortunately all these phones rely on very heavy post processing to look very artificial. The only reason why Huawei is more guilty is because they are working with 40mp and still do it. And they f1.7 and 1.4um pixels like the rest. So sensor size and pixel size are not even sacrificed. And they still rely heavily on the artificial look.
              However..... If a Samsung, HTC, LG, Apple, OPPO, etc etc had the same sensor.... They'd be doing the same thing.
