      IP68 is definitely not a gimmick, maybe it's not good for you but definitely saved my phone once.
      I find the little extra security in knowing there's one less thing I need to worry about with my expensive investment is great piece of mind.
      Gimmick is the reverse wireless charging that Huawei came out with and Samsung is (regretfully) adding to the S10.

        My Pavillion 500-089 has been less than stellar but still a great unit. Runs PUBG, SpinTires and War Thunder really good. A couple of components failed under warranty but last 3 years has been good.

It is basically an improved black ops 2 with BETTER graphics than ps3 and Xbox 360. There are tons of great games on both iOS an android. You just have to search for them because most of them are not advertised at all ( just the low quality RPGs ).

                          But, i agree you don't need that certifications for budget phone like this. Even though, you could make it happen without certificate it.

                          Of course, we don't bring our phones to pool or deep sea, but probability for bringing it to bathroom or slipped your phone into puddle of water is always exist. Could it be you're sweaty, then tried to accessing ports, or you spilled your hot coffee on your phone accidentally.

                          There's always probability for your phone to touched by waters on its lifetime.

                          I've heard waterproofed phones have more success on Japan.

                            Hence, i looking for any budget phone with largest sensor and budget earbuds with largest driver available.

                            Quantity doesn't matter. It only increase prices and (gimmicky) features, nothing to do with quality.

                              I've never seen any apps that have already uncompatible with it. Even i've seen most people, even some tech-savvy one, are just unruffled with even older Android version, 7.0 until 5.0. I do also remember how phones are still released with Android Éclair or Froyo back when Gingerbread/Honeycomb era and nobody crying about it.

                              Also, the improvement aren't that much since 8.x. I would rather go for Android 8.0 but with latest security update than Android 9.0 with older security version.

                              You could always waited for unofficial ports for newer version of your OS.
