This size I think some people still want small phones so less than 6' is ok but they should reconsider the 1 ram thing. At least 3 ram 32 rom. That has become the standard now.

However, because the performance gap was wide enough, it doesn't matter. You're still getting a better experience with the SkinnedOS device and it costs cheaper (or equal) to the AndroidGO device.
My point stands, what's great in-theory doesn't matter if not executed properly in-practice.

Is Google put 1 GB or less as Android go requirements? Never saw Android go with 2GB ram.
I prefer 2 GB with go than bloated ui. Current Google packages for standart version is too heavy for 2GB devices......

I think Xiaomi doesn't need an Android go phone, because their low end phones are very good specifications and prices like other go Android phones.

Android Go should be a mode you can boot into rather than a flashed configuration.

AndroidGO is excellent...in theory. In practice, its rather stupid.
You have AndroidGO devices with slower specs, limited OS, at a higher price. Compared to SkinnedOS, faster specs, full-Android. Why should the billions of poor people pay MORE to get less? It's worse than the initial rollout of AndroidOne, that had some promise.
Like some commenters already pointed, people who should be buying AndroidGO phones cannot afford them and are instead buying a KaiOS phone. And I can't blame them, these KaiOS are excellent phones for the money, and Google is more interested in that than they are interested of the GO/One projects, they're slowly porting their whole services over to that platform.
PS: I think people should buy what they want to buy. Though from a value perspective, there's a lot to gain by stepping up to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and throwing a Custom Rom like this one:

I know 1GB is probably enough for most use case; that is why I said removal of the restriction will create two tiers of Android Go, 1GB for most and 2GB (or 1.5GB Samsung loves that) for the outliers.

People who complain about Android Go and Android phones with 1G of RAM have either not used these phones, can't conceptualize and comprehend that loading times are different from performance and general fluidity of the phone and its interface, or they are trying to use it as a 700 EUR gaming phone.
Everything works fine, except playing the heavy games.
And someone said Android Go is for kids... so it's the grown-ups who buy 700 EUR phones so they can play games on them? Smart.

Put 2 gb of ram. Redmi 6 with 2gb of ram lags.. very slow.. even android go will be better with more ram..

Kangal, 19 Dec 2018At first I thought these AndroidGO devices were a neat idea... moreAndroid Go is still a brilliant idea albeit OEM need to price it appropriately (or aggressively) and if possible for Google to remove the greater than 1GB RAM restriction, full Android runs sluggishly on 2GB RAM and 2GB RAM would really improve Android Go, that way you get two tiers of Android Go (1GB or 2GB RAM).
The way i see phone OS hierarchy is: KaiOS < Android Go < Android One.

It's the true killer of those budget phones, if you are the type of people who want to install some custom ROMs to shift from the heavily bloated MIUI. Nevertheless, it's working in the ultra-affordable markets though, when people are looking for an ultra-affordable phone
