Well, that does not surprise me at all...
after using samsung smartphones (s3, Note 4), finally there was nothing decent to buy from samsung, because everything was with fragile curved screens with horrible annoying glares... Just no.

Had to buy Huawei Mate 10 (although was afraid to), and actually am liking it a lot, especially 2 full days on a single charge. Even despite non-oled screen, poor vibro, low volume in headphone jack... It was also priced much better then any samsung alternative.

Huawei totally deserved these sales figures this year.

Apple have more than 20 percent market share in China only , just imagine what happens if apple losses it's market share in China. US Government have to stop it's foolishness otherwise the close friends of China will also start to boycott apple products.

Kingslayer, 26 Dec 2018Second straight year in decline. Nobody wants to be dup... moreForget revolutionary. I want a smartphone that goes back to its roots:

16:9 ratio with 2K AMOLED display
                  Latest Snapdragon
                  Stereo speakers (preferably front-facing)
IR blaster (you'd be surprised how much that's helped me in a pinch)

Gargantuan battery (if off-brands such as Ulefone and Umidigi can offer 10,000 mAH batteries, I fail to see why flagships cannot offer anything above 5,000 mAH)

                  Headphone jack with good DAC
                  MicroSD slot (preferably dedicated slot)

With these only 3 modern features:
3 cameras (wide, ultra-wide, and monochrome)

Shatter resistance (I prefer that over water-resistance every day of the week)

                  QuickCharge 4

That would be my severely ideal phone.

Apple is probably paying the media to write hit pieces to take out the competition (Huawei). If you do more research, you'll find there's no hard evidence to back up any of the hacking/spying allegations directed against Huawei. Don't be a fool that pays $1000 for an iPhone. Save your hard earned money by going for more affordable android phones and spend the rest of your cash on other daily necessities - food, clothing, etc..

Shanti Dope, 26 Dec 2018Nah, forget about spying, cheating or whatever. Let's just... moreThe latest scandal us Facebook has given open access to "trusted" third partners which has been going on for years.

This after Cambridge Analytica could harvest all your contacts, these trusted partners could read anything, they are all saying on a corporate level they have not done so, however on an individual level any rogue employee could

The thing with Huawei is their technology is already installed yet not one network has come forward with any evidence of wrongdoing or potential for data harvesting.

This is just a propaganda with zero evidence being offered and the USA strong arming everybody
If Huawei had done just one of the scandals Facebook has done, MySpace would be resurrected.

Xiaomi is next to say hello to Apple.

Nah, forget about spying, cheating or whatever.
Let's just complain if ever we figure out that there's a major conflict that's going to happen with those actions.
You see, our data collection is what makes these amazingly-priced Chinese phones possible, so if you prefer to pay a hundred or two dollars more for no spyware and cheating, then it's your choice.
Then again, even the most expensive phones are still collecting our personal data, so why bother buying them still?
It's not like they're going to use your credit card account and password to steal money from your bank account or what, as they could make so much more money by selling phones than what they would see in your account.
And I have been watching so many dirty videos on the internet already, but Google and Chinese servers haven't done a thing or two about my actions for all these years, even though I know that they know that I'm doing those things with my phones.

All our phones are all equally as secured, and that's why you can no longer see any brand who's advertising great software security features anymore.
