I don't know how many countries got the Sony UCH12 which charges faster because it supports Quick Charge 3.0 but I'm sure most countries like mine got the Sony UCH20 out of the box, basically the same rating as this new USB Power Delivery's USB-A. What you're getting is 1% per minute as from my experience with my daily driver XPERIA XZ, and even slower for smartphones like the XPERIA XZ3 as seen in reviews and charging tests, because of its bigger battery

Walter C. Dornez, 28 Dec 2018I'm sorry, what? The USB-PD port can supply up to 39W of power. You can't power a full computer with that. Only ULV-class computers can be powered and charged with that power supply. ULV computers have no dGPU, are fanless and have a processor that ends with a U. They are usually dual-core processors. Or quad-core at 1.5GHz for the 8th gen. Those draw from 10 to 25W of power. But the iGPU is not included. And then you have the screen, the network card, the keyboard backlight, the external devices like a USB drive or a mouse... It adds up.

And standard charging on Android phones and tablets is at 10W. Not QuickCharge, no SuperVOC, no Dash Charge. 10W is basic charging. 7.5W is 75% of 10W. So it is 25% slower.

39.5W for USB C that's nice but how it supposed to get connected with female port to a mobile or 7.5W type A port is for mobile but that ain't fast.
