Announcing in January is very late, especially since they take a very long time to launch in each market and it to be available.
By that time the next set of flagships with SD855, will get announced and may start to be available.

But you definitely shouldn't read Nokia related articles, because apparently irritates you.

The core statement of the program is "unmodified Android operating system with the latest Google technology", so it's just as pure as an Android could be.

If the screen and cameras are as good as the hype around them.. i will definetly buy this device no matter the price tag.

This why Nokia took a back seat in the smart phone business, why would u manufacture a flagship device in 2018 with huge bezel and chin

It's funny to read daily same comments about Nokia - chinese brand, mediocre phones too expensive, old specs etc., just to downgrade the brand and make fools of everyone who likes and willing to buy this brand.
I personally don't care who prefers which brand, at the end it's their personal choise.
I imagine that here most users and comments are from India, because Nokia phones are to pricy and that they prefer Xiaomi.
Well, who wouldn't like 200, 300 € cheaper Nokias? You can wait 6-12 months when the price is definitely much lower ( I will almost definitely buy this phone aprox. a year from now ), but the specs will still be very high.
And so much complaining about SD845. So what? Most users wouldn't even see the diference in performance, nor care less.

Holy shit Nokia! I hope I will be able to buy this phone!

Moj, 31 Dec 2018well that only is true about well lighted situation! cause... moreYou probably forget, that pixel size depends on sensor physical size. And 808's 1/1,12" sensor is 'huge' compared even to Mate 20Pro 1/1.7" sensor. Means, that every single pixel has repectable 1.4um size without any quad bayer binning. It's more than most of nowadays phone cameras have. Problems in low light are related to relatively dim F2.4 8.02mm lenses instead.
Then again, 90% of my stills are made in good lightning conditions anyway. For indoor photography there's arguably most powerful xenon flash ever mounted on cameraphone. And for outdoor low light photography i have tripod. Only serious con that 808 has is dynamic range, as HDR and other computational photography tricks aren't available. (Just bracketing.)

If this phone cost like $600 for a SD845 phone and DxOMark ranked it above 100 points because of PureView, I'd replace my Nokia 8 with this but too bad, no headphone jack. They had all the time to find the space good enough to put it. It's not that hard and I mean look at the guy who puts a headphone jack on the iPhone 7, it's easy for HMD to redesign it a bit and give it to Foxconn to readjust it like adding a flexboard for the jack.

If it comes with an outstanding camera then it will be a really good phone. I kind of like that design and particularly that blue navy color on it.

Nokia 808 is from old nokia and you cant really compare with the new nokia that dont have most of it's old workers in it that now work for other companies.

Now think of it in the perspective of life. If you have a good job and your words matter. Your in high place in the comp and when it gets boght by other big company and what do you do then ? Wait 2-3 years when Nokia brand on phone can be used again and then have a good job that at first isnt that good like you had it before. Or you go find your self a new job and thats before waiting that 2-3 years when they started the startup.

I wonder how Megapixels it has, and it is interesting SD 845 can not support more than Dual camera, yet we see this is not true, the V40 has a triple camera setup. SD 855 can not support penta camera setup(their website says this), but it will support even if they not saying this. Weird is this stuff. For the first time I have seen a similar thing on a Sony phone back in 2016. That phone had 23 MP, but the CPU it had could only support up to 20 MP. :D

A Snapdragon 845 is a mistake, they will need to price this significantly lower than other flagships next year to compete

cause the actual pixels are really tiny on 38-41 MP cameras which well leads to really bad low light and even downscaling might not help at all!
so it is preferable to have 12-24 MP cameras and little tweak would make up for normal light and naturally it is better for low light!
