If the S10 won't have the 3.5mm jack, I'm going for Sony again. My S8+ is cool, but too dam over-bloated with junk software and features I never use, while what's important (os updates, not security patches) arrive 1-2 yeas too late.
Where's the justification for the very high prices when it comes to updating?? Cos I don't see it..
Sony on the other hand, if today Pie is released by Google, you can bet that tomorrow or the day after tomorrow ALL of their phones (including mid-range phones) will get it.
Sammy hurry up or I'm going to Sony!

But there is a drew back, you need to pay full price at once. But if you go for locked phone you can pay monthly!

Ultimately, all comes down to the telcos. If the telcos are holding up the updates, there is nothing we can do about it. Just like how my Huawei P20 Pro Pie updates is currently held up by my local telco.

Note 8 getting Android Pie before the S8/+?
              Great!
Next report, you should also say that "Galaxy S10 could beat the Galaxy S9 to performance" because apparently this isn't obvious to the readers

Walter C. Dornez, 02 Jan 2019Good point, though there are far less bugs than expected du... moreGoogle is simply competing with Apple IOS, rather than put out a stable and viable OS update

That months have passed shows that even though developed it is far from complete

That is nothing compared to Microsoft Windows 10 which the initial update would run on all Windows 8 devices and launch on the soon to be released flagship Lumia 950 and Lumia 660.
It crashed to various degrees every Windows Phone 8 device during testing.

Windows 8 due to the imminent release of Windows phone 10 and Windows phone 8 scheduled to receive only the initial Windows phone update signalled Windows phone app store demise

Despite this and it beggars belief Microsoft still went ahead and released Windows phone 10 (which Imo is 49% malware)
Put simply Windows phone 10 ended Microsoft cell phone ambitions

Windows phone 10 cannot and could not be fixed, e.g
all Microsoft had to do would be to release say Windows phone 12 to correct the many and varied problems, unfortunately WP 10 ran on a phone that was it

The discontinued Windows phone 8 was the only viable version, which say Windows phone 12 could have been developed

Microsoft is totally gone from cellular phones, there is no third party apps, no app updates.
Windows phone 10 software release is up there with the Liu Lirong Gionee 1 billion Yen bet

It would be good to have it sooner but i like to have it without bug than having it soon!

Good news for S8-/S8+ owners, as this leaves a good chance that the worst bugs are found by the Note8 users, and ironed out before it reaches the other models...
