So instead of a waterdrop notch that would fit inside a standard notification area they put a hole in the display that will require a double height notification area like the Essential phone. On top of that they put it in a corner where the battery icon should be and made the phone unsymmetrical aka ugly...
Does samsung not have a single competent designer in the long chain of people that had to approve this?

It's awful. Yaaay Note9! If you can live (and you CAN) without the SD855/E9820 and the under FPS, the N9 is better. This hole is so annoying. Salute the innovation, but that's still awful.

Remember this could be the LCD version of the S10 (like IPhone XR). LCD screens won’t have as much bend that’s why the iPhone XR has a big chin.

I can not understand people who whine about such things as a chin, especially as thin as this one. Fight for headphone jacks, lower prices and updates/patches.

Any kind of notch/hole is a no for me. Imagine consuming media, playing games, etc. It simply goes in wrong direction.

Didn't like it.
It'll give developers trouble, either killing space (avoid any info around the camera) or ignoring it at all and maybe users will miss information.
I don't like notches, but water drop notch is much more elegant than this.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 (besides battery size) is the best approach for full display.
