I feel bad paying much for memory at the end of 2017. Good thing it is starting to go down. RAM prices for PCs are still high though.

Samsung must focus on identity and stand-out like Apple. They just can't keep producing mindless same looking Galaxy series and A Series mobiles quarter after quarter. Chinese OEMs have no reputation to lose, even then, Huawei-Honor combo is coming up with lots of varieties and at competing price points, OnePlus is there, Xiomi, Vivo, Oppo endless sundry manufacturers available in the Android world. Samsung must take some bold steps in unchartered territories without waiting for Apple to step in first. Or, come up something like Project Are mobile with replacement parts (CPU, Camera, Memory) people would invest on such eco-system by paying little more.

S7, S8 and S9 do not use same cam sensors. Each of them have one model.
Just the specs are equal.
Only s9 has 3 layer stacked CMOS

First thing is they need to lower the price a bit.
Secondly in response to this idiotic claim- "All those hardware is built and assambled in china under the same bad work conditions. How come the same hardware does cost 500 to 1500€?
Different companies have different quality control measures and expectations. Not saying the newer Chinese brands that are the same level of expensive are following cheap build practices but it's just the way it is. Perfect examples are Honda Civic's, started out as cheap crappy japanese cars that fell apart and rusted like crazy... but the motor was pretty good for a 4 cylinder. Now look at them, they are one of the most expensive smaller cars on the road. Now recently we have Kia and Hyundai cars who again started out as cheap entry level cars that were junk, now they are just as expensive as everything else.

Samsung's real problem is low end and midrange phones they have great flagships but now people knows that they were cheated by samsung's budget phones they sell a miserable quality at a high price

what goes up...how many smartphones can one buy? Must they be 900€+? If a single cam is better than any 4 cam setup, why even bother? Why focus on gimmicks and not on invention? Do most customers like the notch? Do most people want 6" phones? Every phone looks alike, that's nice or is it?...this works for apple, lg, htc, huawei, samsung etc.
Im a customer changing phones every 6 months. I pay alot to buy those phones. And I stopped doing this. Yeah, I'm just some random uninteresting person, but yet, my 800€ every 6 months are missing...do I still don't count? Yup! Companies are selfish (as they ever been) not caring for their customers much. Actually I'm happy ths happens. We will see who keeps creating, designing and inventing and who clearly doesn't. Which companies do you think will go dump the phone branch? Sony? HTC?
Blaming Chinese manufacturers is clearly a misttake, Phones being designed elsewhere, of course, but the software? Not that many people work on those. All those hardware is built and assambled in china under the same bad work conditions. How come the same hardware does cost 500 to 1500€? Ever though about that? Maybe do less advertisement apple and samsung? I dont wanna pay for that anymore. But again: We, the customers really don't matter. No one want our money it seems...too bad - for them.

There will be more and more profit goes down for SAMSUNG this year.
The new M-series is also overpriced if compare with those from China.

Wow is Samsung officially doomed? , price are just getting more expensive, midrange phones sucks and expensive compare to Chinese midrange phones, every Quarter they lose so much profit
