Something for ZTE and Huawei, lets also hope one big premium company gives it a go.
Sony wont.
Motorola probably would have, if google didnt buy them.
HTC, perhaps. LG maybe.

As long as the device's drivers are not open sourced, it will never be a stable os for our android toys :(

I wish it gets support and recognition from developers for the consumer's benefit, that would be great iOS/Android's alternative.
Imagine SGS2/Sensation/Xperias powered by WebOS :)

Best mobile OS ever, awful app development helped make it underachieve. Great news, RIM need to take note.

Great news. I bought a Palm Pre, still have it, gathering dust in a draw, but loved it. Also buying a HP touchpad, which again I think is great. I'll be contributing my part to the scene. Thank you HP.

Wise decision. Instead of killing it making it open will benefit the competition going between different operating systems.

For WebOS, this is the best thing HP could have down short of actually supporting it. Maybe they'll release more devices if it turns out to be successful?
