Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 arrives in the UK for £499

First of all it costs £100 more at Amazon UK than the Mi Mix 3 (6/128), so you could likeley get the 8/256GB for that price.

Whats else?
Non-futureproof with only 4GB RAM.
It's also older and will most likely receive one less android update, so again less futureproof.
Awful edge/infinity display. Bad for fullscreen viewing and bad to hold.
Small screen on paper, even smaller with regards to edge.

Only comparable edition price wise is the 64GB, which is as mentioned £100 more expensive and with half the internal memory of the Xiaomi. And sure you can add SD. I'm currently in the 16th hour of restoring files from yet another failed micro SD card - at least it (Sandisk Ultra) lasted many times longer than the Samsung Pro ones I had. 2/2 died within a year of those. Hateful things as far as reliability goes. Sandisk has been good to me, but sooner or later SD cards do die.

With the Mi Mix line, you can get the 256GB instead of the 128GB for roughly the same price as a 128 GB SD card and likely at the price of S9 without SD card, so really there's no argument for S9 or SD card.

Apart from that they both have good cameras and similar battery life, so getting the S9 for any other reason than brand recognitioon just seems daft. Unless you're a sand inspector in Sahara that is :-)

Waterproof phones are not waterproof where you want them to be, ocean and pool. Both types eat up the rubber gaskets keeping the phones waterproof. And keeping the phone safe from rain isn't exactly a challenge.

Secondly get real, the Samsung S9 is much better, IP68, headphone jack, micro SD support, stronger build quality with no moving parts and Samsungs screens are the best in the business.

          Itll be hard to beat Samsung and Huawei in the UK. As theyre already established and have a name in the UK along with better support. Note 9 and Mate 20 Pro are already down to like £500

          Xiaomi can do serious damage to OnePlus though with that pricing

Because I do Redmi note 6 pro 4+64GB is £249 whereas the much better Honor Play 4+64GB is also £249. Redmi 6 3+32GB is £149 Honor 9 Lite 3+32GB which has higher resolution screen, better build quality and NFC is also £149. Xiaomi's launch in the UK has been disappointing

Mix 3 is so much better than most of you think. You need to use one to know though, can’t just judge on specs. Been using the global version for 2 weeks and it IS better than anything I’ve used so far. Sure it’s a little more heavy than Mi8, but the quality is wow

                    This phone will make OnePlus 6/6T obsolete if you don't mind the emui software. It beats the OnePlus is every other department including price.

                          yep, over-priced compared to what is available already at the same price in the UK..
                          Even in comparison with some of their own products available in the UK, this is over-priced..

                                You can get Samsung S9 for around same price in UK. I know which one I'd rather have. Xiaomi's UK launch has been disappointing imo and they're being beaten for value in most cases by honor
