Mine accidentally dell into a bowl of water for 4-5 seconds,, the headphone jack got a couple of drops of water in and the speakers stopped working until i cleaned the jack up with some paper towels.
it's still far from waterproof, but at least i'm glad it didn't compleatly die.

Mine fell into water (fully submerged) for like 2-3 second and I see zero damage. It works like if nothing happened.

It has absolutely NO splash resistance whatsoever, I bought my rn7 two weeks ago and some water spilled accidentally on the back (near the redmi logo) with the clear case that comes in the box, now the screen is full of water marks and I opened to find it doesn't have a mesh, no rubber, no anything to protect it. Not even airtight seals since the water seems to be directly in between the screen

I purchased 6 months back MI Redmi note pro 5 as same fallen in water at beach high toyed.
Enquiries with authorise services at Chennai not ready to support by them for repair or alternate solution for rectify mobile problems,,, simply advised to give outside unauthorized service center to repair it...
What's the response of my MI Redmi note pro -5 life and value of money as student of engineering college,, unable to ask new phone from my parent's..

So much back and forth on the sensor, which is a Samsung GM1 48MP sensor. This is a true 48MP sensor that has pixel size of 0.8 micrometer. Shooting natively at this resolution is likely not supported by this phone, nor should it be desirable.
Now, they don't call it pixel binning, but "Tetracell technology" where four pixels are merged to work as one to increase light sensitivity (*cough* pixel binning). The GM1 can deliver light sensitivity equivalent to that of a 1.6 micron pixel image sensor at 12Mp. This is what matters and this is the best shooting option for this phone.
Why would anyone in the market for a budget device use it for print sizes requiring 48MP?
Stop complaining and instead be happy that such a sensor is available at this price point.
