Just because the OnePlus 7 is in development stage doesn't mean it won't have wireless charging.

Personally, I had wireless a charging phone over 5 yrs ago. For the first 3 or 4 months the free pad sat in the box, with me holding a similar position to you. Then I tried it, and have used it every night since. During the day, I don't bother, as it is in my bedroom. But I wholeheartedly recommend it, particularly if you have kids that like to pick up your phone. Saves a ton of wear on the usb port, which in these backless days is good. As for reduced battery life, my current device is 3 and a bit years old, still going ok, I suspect that the battery is only as degraded as it would have been had I used wired only.

sweggitity, 12 Jan 2019Wireless charging is pointless, I have to keep my phone on ... moreWireless charging is for the ultra lazy people who can't be bothered to plug in the phone themselves. It does make it easier to just set your phone down to charge and pick it up again, but it's lazy.

Wireless charging is pointless, I have to keep my phone on a charging Pad to charge, if wireless charging was something like you keep your phone inside your pocket and it charges while you are in a room that supports wireless charging. That would be something that one must have.

So what exactly the upgrade from OnePlus 6T to OnePlus 7 be?

Oh yes, the Snapdragon 855. :)
What else? Umm...I don't think so.

i thought they already have that feature 4 - 5 years ago ....
