Geekbench shows the Pixel 3 Lite XL may be the first with 6GB of RAM

14 January 2019
All Pixels so far have had 4GB. Also, the XL will use a Snapdragon 710 chipset instead of S670 like the Pixel 3 Lite.

Oh come on Google even the iPhone XR uses the same A12 processor as its big brother, this is pathetic.

It's comparable to the batteries on midrangers are often beefier that flagships, despite flagships carrying more features.

So the lites may sport different CPU and RAM on the different sizes. Seems like a bad move. Why not keep the specs (apart from battery and screen) the same for 3 Lite and 3 Lite XL?

Oh, and more RAM on Lite model than flagship, that's funny :-)

I doubt the Pixel 4 models will be as good as competitors models with Snapdragon 855 SoC's. Maybe in 2020, when Pixel 5's come out, Google will better compete Samsung and... other brands... like say, Vertu ^_^ .

Google have no idea whats going on... they need a restructure with their hardware group and re-organise their product offerings.

Remember when google's phones were the nexus with the best hardware and the cheapest price out of the flagships? I remember.

2 GB of extra RAM will make f*ckall difference to general performance. The only advantage will be more apps running 'active' in the background and tabs remaining loaded in browser as opposed to reloading.

RAM is overrated. SoC and storage performance is more important to daily usability.

It seems like Google is being run by monkeys.

This goes to show how important good leadership is. Without it, you will fail irregardless of how many resources you have.

Unreal. They launched a top priced device with low end ram, mid range battery, beta software, low mid range storage, top end camera, mid range screens , now they do this. Should have recalled the Pixel 3(xl) devices in the first month, and then released a proper 6GB RAM, proper software, better battery device.
