Marco M, 15 Jan 2019Right because us westerners would not appreciate such a cam... moreI agree i it was 150 euros oly, its not. The cheapest i see on aliexpress is 179e and thats for 3/32 chinese version. 6/64 will cost you 250e. And for that price its not worth it.

    When in India?

      Xiaomi should have learned from the past that the Redmi Note Series sells like hot cakes. So Xiaomi should have also anticipated that Redmi Note 7 will sell very well because it is a great smartphone and offers a great value for its money, hence they should have made available at least 5 million units (3 million for China market and 2 million for the global market in Global Version with Band 20) right from the start. To tell you the truth I'm quite disappointed in Xiaomi for this failure to deliver.

I interpreted it like you meant this only happened because it was in China, and hence if a flash sale like this occured in the west, it would not succed.               No surprised at all. This is showing that the population of China is so so so big. It also indicates that all unused phones (even if it is not broken) are into the bih when there are newly new phones. Very fast changing.

Get real, this crushes our typical models in this price range, which at best has SD425, Exynos 7570 or MT6750. If looking to other chinese phones, you may be lucky and find a SD636 in this range.

                  What does Motorola E5 Plus (32GB), Samsung J3 (16GB), Huawei Y6 (16GB) and Nokia 3.1 (16GB) all have in common? Wide availability in western markets, and poor value compared to this phone.

                  They're in that price range, have smaller screens with low resolution (720p) and big bezels, unimpressive cameras, 2 pityful GB of RAM (except E5 plus which has 3GB) and tiny batteries (again apart from E5 Plus). They also have old android, and in this range from those manufacturers, not the most likely for multiple, or any, android upgrades.

                  So really this phone is an awesome buy, and until this arrives in the west, the E5 Plus (32GB) is a decent one in this price range. Slimmest bezels amung the others, biggest screen and huge battery. But is limited by SD425 and camera compared to the Redmi Note 7. The gap between SD425 and 660 is not small at any means. Camera comparison should also prove to be quite interesting, and I predict the Redmi Note 7 will pretty much be in a completely different league to these others in the same price range.

                      Well if they put 10 mmillion units to each of the sites like aliexpress, amazon and ebay they can sell these units with a same speed.
                      Its like a best phone of 2019 and other competitors will have a hard times to stand a chance.
