Maybe they should ask their consumers what they look for in a smartphone . The faster the charging the more convenient it is for their consumers day to day usage.

Chee Khuan, 15 Jan 2019At least HUAWEI gives the latest technologies to their phon... moreum your y9 is like way out of its league compared to the galaxy note 9. chip set is weaker, ram, memory, camera are all way below the note. lol talking about specs and you use a y9 as your base to compare. hahah what a fool

If you had Samsung through many generations, you would have seen that they went the wrong way. But again, Apple and Samsung are masters of making blind sheeps.

Not like SAMSUNG, still gives an outdated Cortex A-75 to their latest Exynos 9820 and still using outdated 8nm instead of 7nm.

My current phone, HUAWEI Y9 (2019), price is USD225 in my country, and it has a 10W charger and 4,000mAh battery already.

How about this SAMSUNG S10? Price is more than USD800 but still give a outdated 15W charger.

That's why I said SAMSUNG is always overpriced but with outdated hardware specifications only.

We don't need more high speed options, we need ONE high speed standard. And given how many phones use Qualcomm chipsets, QuickCharge 3.0 is the best option. Nothing more retarded to have this phone that can charge at million watts, but can't actually do that if you don't carry their specific brick with you. Where QC3.0 is available by pretty much everyone and works with all phones that use Qualcomm chipset. Now, just think how many phones run a Snapdragon chipset. There you go. Just not sure why they offer Quick Charge 4.0 but supply phones with QuickCharge 3.0. And I also haven't seen a 3rd party QC4.0 chargers either. Which is a bit strange. QC3.0 chargers can be found all over the place. Have original one at work, bought extra one for home and also a car charger, all QC3.0 enabled. Plus, I found out my ASUS Transformer charges faster on QC3.0 chargers. Instead of suppled 5V 2A one, I can hook it up to my UGreen QC3.0 charger and it'll charge at 9V (not sure how many amps tho). Noticed on the power label on the device that input can be 9V and QC3.0 clearly recognizes that which is nice.

Wait for the S10 series to release before making some uninformed guesses.

Did you seriously expect any revolutionary changes from Samsung? Stop smoking that hashish!

Samsung is a scaredy company. They're always playing safe and thus are always behind the competition in most categories. One faulty device should not hold up other upcoming devices. There are literally tons of phones with big batteries these days, yet they also offer some of the fastest charging standards. Samsung is just stuck in 2013.

Waiting for samsung fanboys's excuses hahahaha

Mike, 15 Jan 2019I really don't get it why there's such pression on charging... moreSpeed charging wont cause shorter battery lifespan, overheat by charging will cause it.

Most smartphone nowadays are clever enough to slow down your charging if heating up & stop charge when hit 100% battery even still plugged in.

Plus Huawei Supercharge 22.5w & 40w are TUV Rheiland safety certified.
