Two Galaxy S10 variants certified in China, still use 15W chargers

Samsung doesn’t think that competing with charging speeds is a priority.

Well, but they are absolutely wrong!!! Because these days even more than before, people (in general) they all prefer and want that their mobile is fully charged in the shortest time as possible! Big batteries and fast chargers are definitely among the priorities!!!

To say "Another reason Huawei is beating Samsung" is ridiculous. Samsung could easily go the higher speed charging path but they obviously have reasons not to rush into it. It's not a case of beating, but manoeuvring at the correct time for it

I really don't get it why there's such pression on charging speed. I charge my phone overnight and prefer slow charging setting I can enable in my Samsung device (Note9). People really want to shorten their battery lifespan so much?

I'm guessing that Samsung still has a PTSD from the Note 7 debacle which led to their President ousted months after and billions are lost. From this day on, they won't upgrade their chargers to QuickCharge 4 and not increase the wattage/voltage/amperes. At least they have a longer lasting battery and I wouldn't have to worry about my phone's battery getting damaged gradually by overcharging while I sleep 6 - 8 hours and unplug it when I wake up.

15w is great for samsung, quick charge 2 made my galaxy batteries life hard to pass 1y, while motorola easily past 2y. no complain from me especially I still remember note7 case, happen twice

Slightly disappointing indeed. Maybe a later charger could speed things up. Also I wonder is there is any research on what impact that 40w and 50w charging has on smartphone battery in the long term (1-3 years)

Daamn if this is true its so disappointing
I was looking forward to faster charging times
                    15watts is fine
But i want it to be marginally faster
                    > 25 watts atleast

Samsung is doing all it can..... to make Chinese companies out stand it in phone sales.

I personally don't understand it. Yes, there was an incident with Note, but it was a design flaw, not technology. It is shame Samsung is not into fast charging. Who knows, Samsung may play the same cards as Apple and support fast charge, but including charger for it?
