The pictures are just renders, not the actual phone. You can see across the pics the amount the top bezel changes..some show quite slim, some show quite big like the older xperias.
And I still don't understand for the life of me...why go buy a sexy $800+ phone, hunting for thin phones and slim bezels...and you go and throw a big chunkly plastic case that hides the design...
"its to protect it from damage" - - - You shouldnt be buying a phone this nice if you're concerned about damage...go buy a Poptel...

I think all renders are fake...
They showed up too soon. Design of XZ and XZ2 were found 1 day before announcement.

Such cutotut is unnecesarily large for basically a damn microphone.

Anonymous, 15 Jan 2019A fingerprint scanner AND a power button on the same side??... moreThere's a patent that disallows Sony to use the power button as a fingerprint scanner, which appears to be a forever case, but I think it's safe to leave both as separate hardware since old Xperias with fingerprint scanners on power button were having bending issues most apparently in this area.

He says he is laughing at all he's seen on internet so far.

If the cutout on the top of the phone is really just for the microphone, why does it have to be that big, to the point where it nearly extends to the back of the phone, when microphones don't even need to be half as large as a headphone jack cutout.

And look at the Xperia S, it had its camera on the center already.
Look also at Sony's past Ericsson phones, they have their cameras at the center.
