Put 16GB of ram and it will sell like hot cakes. Otherwise it will lag after few months.

Phones were getting nowadays are 72-75mm wide (NARROW..!).
78-82mm is what it could be & it would make for Great phones to use (Wide Display).

Anonymous, 16 Jan 2019Lol, software plays no role in geekbench scores. Unless you... moreSoftware is indeed the biggest role for the benchmark, as the software would drove the performance past the peak of daily usage

Anonymous, 16 Jan 2019Lol, software plays no role in geekbench scores. Unless you... moreSo in theory, ALL SD845-powered phones with the same exact hardware configuration must score literally identical.
Let's assume that both Phone A and Phone B with SD855 from two different manufacturers are performing the test in an airconditioned room with an adequately low room temperature on both phones. Both phones have UHD displays, 10GB LPDDR4X RAM, 512GB UFS 3.0 storage, no SIM Card installed, same 4000mAh battery, and basically identical in pretty much every way.
I expect both phones to have absolutely no difference in scores, not even +1 or -1 in either single or multi core test.

Lol, software plays no role in geekbench scores. Unless you mean to say that OS has background processes that eat out the CPU headroom that geekbench tries to measure ... Which is improbable to say thee least.
No. This is the SD 855 alright. Struggling to beat last year's Exynos. Exactlly what I expect from this struggling company, Qualcomm. Their processors havent been good for years. And if monopoly laws worked they would bad been out of business 'fore years.

I am guessing that Samsung is playing a game with the performance. The improvements in performance and battery on the Exynos 9820 were also downplayed by Samsung. Merely tweaking instructions could push up performance by noticeable numbers. There is something very strange going in. It's like the Exynos 9820 variant it tested or showed was not the final variant and that the final would be released or announced later. Or that Samsung was being conservative with performance figures.
