fakn u buy a fone coz u like its design then a majority of people put a uglyasss cases like this n cover it up cant c shtt also cases overheats causes performance issues

Question remains how efficiently external battery charges the internal one. Probably somewhere between 80-90%.
Obviously there is a need for bigger battery capacity and hopefully Apple will (besides a bigger screen variant) make a bigger battery variant - 1-2mm thicker phone with flat back. Keeping my fingers crossed.

LG made an extended battery/camera 'friend' for the G5. Motorola made battery modules for the ultra-thin modular Z series. Mophie and others have been making battery cases for various model lines for years before that. Apple makes one it's a money grab. These boards are ridiculous.

$129 for a sub 2000mAh battery case which the capacity Apple doesn't even mention to avoid iphone owners from doing direct battery capacity comparisons and then realizing they can buy a high quality 10,000mAh - 20,000mAh powerbank for the same price as the outrageously priced iPhone battery case. Wow, just wow! Very clever marketing Apple!

My partner upgraded from a 5s to a 6s with the battery case for it. The battery case makes it so ugly and heavy. It's poorly finished with a cheap rubberised texture that wears out with a thumb rub. But it's the only way to get a day's use out of the 6s.
Besides, Apple will never clearly mention battery capacity for its case. Just battery duration time with fineprint. The 6s packs in a 1715mah battery. The case has 1877mah (found after excruciating research) making for a total capacity of exactly 3592mah. If Apple could have put in a 3000-3400mah battery into the 6s by default, it would have been a slimmer, lighter and way more elegant solution than this monstrosity. And imagine the endurance of such a phone.
Moreover, while the battery case has access to the 3.5mm port, you need an adaptor because a conventional 3.5mm pin will not reach the iPhone through the depths of the case. Of course, the adaptor does NOT come standard with the smart battery case. We now use a lightning to 3.5 dongle instead.
I love their OS and support, but can never get myself to buy an iPhone because of such business methods.
