We’re inching closer to the real thing.

So going by those figures, the curve of the folded display is going to be huge, there's going to be an inch plus (28mm) of curve !!!
Even worse than I suspected, that's going to be a deal breaker for lots of folk, as well as the cost, it's hardly going to be a svelte device to carry about, the other more fold properly devices, like the Royal will sell far better, if they can produce enough usable displays in the first place, which is debatable for the first generation screens, most folk with an interest in fablets are going to wait for 2nd/3rd/4th gen screens, by which time the price should have plummeted as well, so a win - win worth waiting for..

mesand, 17 Jan 2019If it will fold parallel with the longer side, then it will... moreThis is first generation so dont expect more than one fold and width and thickness are what makes phone unpocketable a long and narrow phone can fit in your pocket easily

Whackcar, 17 Jan 2019I have a feeling that the first generation foldable phones ... moreRidiculous price? It cost as much as top model XS Max

If it will fold parallel with the longer side, then it will be a fail... Come one, the purpose of folding something is to reduce the needed space, maybe to make it fit a pocket. In this way it will not reduce the highest side, so it will not achieve the basic purpose...

Gimmick! Gimmick! Who needs foldable phones?

I do. I will buy one as soon as it is available in Norway. Because its very practical to have a compact phone size device which then unfolds into a tablet! Its the future guys!

Whackcar, 17 Jan 2019I have a feeling that the first generation foldable phones ... moreHigh demand means high price. This is the next generation of mobile. They will sell like hotcakes even of they cost more than 2 grand.

I have a feeling that the first generation foldable phones will not live upto the hype... specially considering the ridiculous pricing they will have.
