17 January 2019
And only 3GB of RAM so it must be the Play version.

Anonymous, 18 Jan 2019625 632 they all same . They should use 675 or 710 . This i... moreU r clearly out of ur depth then. 632 is a big upgrade on 625 , it has 2 A73 based cores and a more powerful GPU.
Also 675 and 710 are upper mid range chips. This phone is the budget version of an already lower mid-range phone. By ur logic manufacturers shld stop producing sub $200 phones all together.

Still capable SoC, significant improvement over G6 play.
G line is about experience on budget. This should be the lowest, the rest E & C let lenovo badge on it

Well in our market in Q1~Q2 2019, in $150~$220 price bracket, we'll have,
                  (possibly) G7 play - SD625 (or SD632)
                  Xiaomi Redmi note 7 - SD660
                  Asus Maxpro 2 - SD660
                  RealMe 2 Pro - SD660

Still not counting Vivo Y-series and Samsung M-series. G7 series won't last in Asian market, at very least South and South east Asia market...

Everyone needs to calm down a bit here. Where to start... The g series is obviously only pushed in markets where Huawei and especially Xiaomi aren't present which is a viable financial strategy for a company that still relies on phone profits for money (Huawei and Xiaomi do not). Moto sells nearly nothing in India. But in the US the g6 play sold in thousands of lacations, nationwide, in every boost and Verizon prepaid vendor, including Walmart, at a subsidized price of around $120. The reason for this is because they have brand recognition in a wealthy country that relies on vendors to push phones on a public that doesn't know anything about what phones it buys. Secondly, there are no major competitors in the budget segment where Huawei and Xiaomi don't exist. Moto charges the prices that it can where they can.
The second issue is that a sd625 is still a great chipset at the right price, especially in America where, again, there are no decent budget options. $120 still gets us a swarm of phones with sd425, and have for a couple years now. A solid built g7 play with a sd625 at $150-$200 would probably sell great nationwide the way the way the g6 play... I'm not happy about the offering seeing what Huawei and Xiaomi offer in other countries, but moto can charge what they want to charge in a country that won't allow outside competition...

It's the Snapdragon 632 guys look at the identifier. Also the motherboard is shown as msm8953 because SD632 is exactly same as SD625 but with A73+A53 cores instead of just A53 ones so it's possible that they share the msm8953 codebase

                            THAT ISN'T A 625!!!
Anyone who has actually seen the benchmark scores and details knows this isn't 625! Geekbench score and Clock frequency is clearly indicative that It's 632.
It's clocked at 1.8ghz and will score in the 1.2k range for single core.
