Huawei software in the camera game is unmatched.
Just take a look at the results... real life tests or comparisons such as the mkbhd video. it comes out on top the majority of the time due to its flexible nature.
Huaweis Night Mode was the first on the scene and caused a big disruption, even google, xiaomi etc are all copying it now

XZ2 beats all ... moreU gotta look more than just using that tool...in terms of photography, there are details, noise, dynamic range, exposure, metering, white balance & so on...
In terms of details, yes XZ2 is good because of that 19mp sensor but sacrifices things with a lot of noise. On others terms, XZ2 are left behind the top dogs camera such as Mate 20, Pixel & Iphone XS.

Thats not the point here, the point for this testing are using stock software, which Sony manual mode are inferior. Made a change to Honor 8 pro in 2017, now i'm using Mate 20. Be it on Auto or Manual, Huawei/Honor phones are more superior and flexible without the needs of root/unlock bootloader. So that means u agree stock Sony camera software are lame?

I am a Mate 20 Pro user yet I don't understand how can it be considered top DXO mark.
In my mind: 114&98pts>114&97pts which should make p20 pro a top mark.
I'm not saying it dxo points matter or not. It just doesn't make sense to tell" a phone has better camera performance but worse scores by the same source".

[deleted post]That's how it has always been. They bash others for being fanboys, but then proceed to do the same thing themselves in the worst way possible. I've browsed this site for years now, usually in a weekly fashion. It was always like this, but they seem to place themselves high on a pedestal, while the truth, in fact, is the complete opposite due to their nonsense behavior.
Huawei has done well with their cameras for years now. No wonder they get praising reviews.

As usual, Sony f@nboys claims the XZ2 premium are better lol. Not at all. As of now, best camera are either Pixel, Mate 20 or Iphone XS. Not XZ2, XZ2 premium, or XZ3. Maybe next XZ4 will turns the table. And as always, asking about use manual please. Dude, if one phone is better in auto, definitely it'll be a lot better in manual, it will makes the gap between Sony phones even further (and still no raw support).
Tell u what, check out Pixel Peeper's on Youtube, that guy is the most reliable, unbiased professional youtube reviewer. Even he gotta admit, Mate 20 are superior than XZ2 premium. And that guy got various of phones to compare with, unlike these f@nboys that only believe in Sony lol.
Paid Dxomark? Of course, they running bussiness, reviewed each phones in lab, outdoor, indoor in a professional way. No one's gonna do free for that. It goes the same to every company, every phones need to pay fee to DXO for them to be reviewed. Its not like if one company pays more, they got the top marks. Nope, i believe it is the same fee to every flagship phones. They must have some terms and policy.
