Here's our first look at the new Motorola RAZR 2019

No way will I ever buy another phone for more than $400. Even over $300 is pushing it. For $1500, are you kidding me?
Honestly, buying and collecting the latest phones is a waste of time. It's like sports and politics, it's all a sham. We're just brainwashed to be consumers to buy more stuff we don't really NEED.
After losing my Saints bet yesterday because of the crooked refs which would have won me at least $100 because the Patriots did win, I realized maybe I should just stop watching and betting on sports like I no longer buy phones.
And I think Motorola has actually motivated me NOT to do it anymore if it's price as much as a MacBook. We all might as well get back into video games. I just turned 38 six weeks ago and really considering it.
We can control the outcome in a video game unlike in sports. We can buy consoles that can last 5-10+ years if we take care of it. Reading books, Netflix, movies, and video games for me now. Forget smartphones and sports that feel staged like the WWE.
The og RAZR V3 wasn't even all that to me. I bought a Motorola V600 six months before the RAZR was released in 2004. Both were practically the same phone. I eventually owned two black RAZRs two years later. The RAZR was just thinner and had a video recorder.
The RAZR was never a favorite of mine. The rock solid Nokia 3310 was a different story.

Slowly and gradually, foldable phones will surface and morph into more futuristic designs in time to come.

Patents rarely make it through to production so it’s fair to say this ‘could’ represent the new RAZR - reality may be very different though.

I guess the battery capacity will have to be shrunk down to fit in half of its body..

That is a lazy rushed "design". Just replace the main part with "screen" on the renders.
Bezels like it's 2001 is not going to sell.
Feels like they just rushed something out to not seem too much of a copy-cat. I mean, even the hinge makes zero sense. It can't fold like that with a flexible screen inside.

It is time for Lenovo to dump Motorola, and shift the development resources back to its internal smartphone team which is better than Motorola. Motorola is a money-losing enterprise for Lenovo.

Id like to see two variants, one with a 3.5inch screen, and one with full screen. My old man needs some buttons to press.

Cool but not for $1,500.
I remember when the original RAZR came out in late-2004, it cost like $500. The following year, you can get it for FREE if you signed up for a new contract. The following year after that, you can get it for $50 as a prepaid. What a joke to spend that much.
That's why the mobile industry is declining. Bad trends like price gouging and saturation. The best time to buy a new phone is when it's no longer new at all. Buy it about a year after the release. I just barely got a PS3 phat that was barely used in its lifetime for $80. Works like a champ. Even the controllers still hold a charge. Makes me laugh that people paid $600 for it when it first came out.

S E F I R O, 21 Jan 2019Let's be honest here. Who would waste $1500 on a foldable p... moreIf the companies listened to people like u then we wld be stuck with phones with a tiny screen and t9 keyboard even now...
U either forget or were too young to remember how people thought the whole move to touch screen and large screens were pointless when it began and yet here we r today. Foldable tech is the future whether u like it or not. Ofcse much like every other big innovation in form factor, it will take around 3-4 years before it becomes refined enough for seamless use.
