We live in the present, not the future, and it's important what's practical in the present. I'm sure electrical cars are the future too, but you can't just go ahead and ban petrol stations right now, cause they are "old-fashioned".

And not to mention bezels have nothing to do with ports and obviously you can have a bezelless phone WITH ports. Except, there will still be actual compromises here and there. Like, smaller batteries, lower quality sound from the speakers and, of course, worse durability.
