Not sure about Meizu, but Xiaomi's Mi Drop is awsome both from phone to phone and to PC.
On my ancient gaming rig one of the USB ports kills just about anything that connects to it in terms of external HDD, SSD, memory card reader, phones where SD card is accessed etc. And I still havent taped it shut and don't remember which it is. Better to stay wireless :-)

Such baby steps are needed for technology to attain the what we're envisaging in the immediate future

The Meizu Zero is a superb concept. It is the Future of smartphones. Though I am guessing it needs a few more tweaks. And removing the headphone jack is something who I disagree with, but with the next generation of Bluetooth, it may be fine too.

Whackcar, 23 Jan 2019People are too biased over here. If Apple/Samsung had done ... moreIt's bad idea and matters not that it's Meizu. Maizu is a weird brand anyways. Not well known and not well known on updates. Only thing they are good at is to make there own design and thats it. I will think the same when it would be made from apple or sammy.

Anonymous, 23 Jan 2019Why does everybody expect that the future is fully wireless... moreYep indeed these people are completely confused...it's not like we are living in the future, we are living in the present and that's what matters. In the present, this is a completely idiotic and impractical solution. There isn't even true "wireless" charging yet. It needs to make the contact with the charger. Which means your can't use your phone and charge it at the same time. And you can't (comfortably) use power banks (It's not that we don't need them with the current small batteries they use).
Same with wireless audio. It's so much hassle it's far more inferior to the wired solution. This won't change anytime soon. I don't care what's it gonna be 50 years from now.

Whackcar, 23 Jan 2019People are too biased over here. If Apple/Samsung had done ... moreWhy does everybody expect that the future is fully wireless? I mean, maybe it is, but not the near future. It won't be another 50-100 years until we are fully wireless. Today we are not nearly technologically advanced to use such device without compromises, in other words, it's much simpler and more comfortable to use normal device with buttons and wires than this one

Whackcar, 23 Jan 2019People are too biased over here. If Apple/Samsung had done ... moreIf you perfectly OK with sending in your phone for a hard reset that should have been able to be done by yourself, then yes the "future" looks fine indeed.
A kind of future that sounds like a dystopian control everything wet fantasy of Apple's...

They should've added a magnetic charging port at least, like the Xperia Z3 and previous Xperias had.
And I have the same thought as one of the commenters here. I wonder how the microphones will work on this device.
