(and the 'smart watches' too...)
The big question is the efficiency of the charge, are we talking 50% or? Usually wireless charging of phones seldom reach 75%, and with even smaller earphones I would expect worse.... And remember that the waste is HEAT, that is bad for batteries, especially during charge and discharge.

Which other smartphone along with Samsung (except LG) has IP68 and 3.5 mm headphone jack at the same time? And hey, they also give you fast wireless charging. There is S-AMOLED display, forgot about S-Pen? Intelligent Scanner?
Every other manufacturer in the market is copying. Who else isn't? It's about implementing it properly and not reducing the prior features.

Wireless charging is gimmick. Samsung has to provide the OPTION for button remap for BIXBY.
