Excuse me while I don't get excited. As the UK will not get 5G anytime soon. As UK has decided that it don't trust Huawei routers.or Huawei technology. The whole thing to me is stupid and paranoia. Roll on 5G in the UK.

I see some benefits in 5G in medical applications, remote Drs etc but it is not something i would be preoccupied with to buy. 4G seriously is plenty than than the average user needs particularly with efficient chips.

I think the world has a very big invisible soup already of transmitting signals and emitting wave dishes let alone intensifying them. Sars to the head and walk around in a soup of WiFi 24/7. - now super beams to hit you .. hmm, cautiously not exactly something to aspire too.

5G is getting overhyped for no good reason. The upgrade from 4G to 5G will be much less noticeable than the upgrade from 3G to 4G. Not to forget the excess battery waste and poor signal coverage for the initial years.
