        They should concentrate competing with Redmi and not xiaomi (main). If they can release this before mid-year then they can go toe to toe with redmi. Now that redmi is a separate company, they may release new phones that can crush competitors. Maybe the redmi series will be released in March. They can also create other series like redmi max or high-end redmis, which we expected to be affordable.

          Wrong, samsung gm1 is really big 12mp sensor with 1,6um pixel size. Not a 48mp one. Just using a interpolation to make 48mp and regular bayer color filter. It takes different approach from sony imx586

            Nice phone but i prefer the Redmi Note 7 and 7 Pro with bigger battery, FM Radio and the new night mode.

              Like the one in the Nokia 808 that still turns out far superior photo detail than even 2018 top cameras right? It might have its shortcomings being almost 7 years old like shot time and hdr. But pixel level quality is unrivaled. Even by Huawei in pro mode with newer sensor and lens tech.

                X41, 24 Jan 2019I used to have lumia 1020, better than galaxy note 8 i curr... moreThe only thing I liked better on the 1020 was ois and better controls. Other than that the 808 still comes out with better quality and more natural images in most cases.

                My note 9 might succeed far in hdr, focus tech, ois, and aperture, but when it comes to the right photo it still just can't compare.

                      They probably don't have the money to do a lot of marketing in other countries. Meizu had been losing market share in China for a few years. With the excellent Meizu 16th series, they've turned things around a bit and regained some market share.

                      I really hope they survive as they do a few unique things and their prices are very honest.

                        great, the more cheap phones with good specs are good progress. Have a good fight...

                          Motorola was the very first cell phone created back in 70s era by martin Cooper a Coofounder of Motorola company.
                          4 months ago after unveiling first cell phone one of the leaders of Motorola brand left its position in Motorola and founded Sony and thus in 1982 first competitors phone has been made.
                          Since then many brand arise and fall.
                          Fact is motorola since 2014 bought Lenovo is no longer US brand but chinese despite the fact Motorola still exist within US borders.
                          And even now they offer affordable devices and specs with super B quality and their phones works very well and can compete against other competition.
                          They are cheaper than Sony and Samsung and offers equal quality even made by lenovo.
                          Carrying X4 Moto so i can honestly stands the words i am saying here.
                          Before had lenovo Vibeshot and phone still works like a brand even is almost 4 years old.
                          Sony Samsung LG or Apple arent end of the world.
                          Maybe companies like them helep to crated Xiaomi Meizu Vivo Oppo and such brands which sells cheap to compete on markets.
                          But now these cheaper brands becomes doom for those more expensive.
                          In past i can believe from sight of many of my or our customers here in Slovakia (i run a phone company with 37 shops in slovak and czech republic) phones like Meizu or Xiaomi werent good in quality and specs.
                          But now past 2-3 years we have almost no claims on brands like xiaomi and when a customer come to our stores with not working phone is quickly repaired.
                          Now the xiaomi is really a brand which rightfully belongs and stands in top 5 of phone makers and brands.

This one might still be carrying a mediocre Toshiba or OmniVision sensor with sub-par quality against a 2014 mid range phone.

                                Well Meizu should thinking forward and come to a much more countries than is available right now.
                                They really can compete Xiaomi with their phones and prices.
                                More brands like this and Samsung, Sony, LG, Apple can go nuts XD.
                                In other words we had enough very expensive phones for same or worse quality than Xiaomi offers.

                                    I am really sure the M9Note can take better photos than RN7 cause its has better software especially for manual mode.

                                      I know they will produce okay pictures
                                      But i know they will not live upto the numbers for sure

                                        As usual, Meizu getting their supplies from Samsung. This will be great to compare with Redmi Note 7. It better be cheap.
