Stop putting brakes on innovation just because you are afraid of the unknown.

All display or having mobile phone is not the future, you will have a contact lens in your eye as a display, your palm will project numbers to your finger tips, your hearing device and mic will be implant to your skull bone as a small chip, 99% of the work of the phone will be done under voice control, your phone will come with a OS and AI assistant.
that's my friend is the future.

    2) If there's one phone that has all the high end specs, then you would whine on the pricing. Where's your brain, man? =D

      all-display is NOT an innovation, it's a marketing trend. Period. using 720p displays in 2019 - that's innovation? having 3000 Mah battery in 2019 - that's innovation?

Edit: Ho! yeah, so for exemple the last message I want to answer doesn't go on top of the keyboard but stay Under and can't be read… that's not usable at all! Shame, that floating keyboard could have been good, if text went down to up, rather than up to down. Well, I'll keep this awful nav bar then, since it's the most practical then.

Hildr, 29 Jan 2019but it will still sit at the Bottom of the screen. It would... moreYes, I agree that since the home button has disappeared & the screen size increased that the keyboard has dropped too low & that it would be handy if you could move your whole keyboard to the middle of the screen.

I'm no expert on typing techniques.
In portrait (mostly) I hold the phone in my left hand & type with my right thumb or index finger (tapping on any predictive text words).

These phones are a bit to tall/ awkward/ precarious to type 2 handed in landscape mode (the centre of the keyboard is out of reach, with plenty of unused space either side), they could devide the keyboard into 2 halves.

Now I am typing in landscape holding the top L & R corners with my pinkies (little fingers), the base resting on my thumbs & typing with my L & R fore fingers which is fine.

Of course writing at a table/ desk is great, but not always possible/ convenient.
I'm writing this section of comment with the phone bridged just above my knees and it's fine.

So experiment & see what's best (most secure, comfortable & effective), just make sure that if it does slip out of your hands that it lands on the furniture & not a concrete floor (I've got an armoured grippy case which helps ; )

All display is the future only if have strongly one hand operating system. I think most of you are frustrating to using both hand to control your smartphone while have to do other job at the same time, this make palm ejection easier especially display getting much bigger every year. What is mobile? See bring anywhere easy is very important as for mobiles so one hand operating system is important.

I am just saying full display is not anything innovation. but removing features is definitely making the phone less "smart". Nothing innovation that a consumer must have in smartphone now, full display, more cameras is not innovation because they dont know what to do with the phone anymore and still want to sell the same high price that is why they keep giving consumers useless things. e.g. 12gb ram, 1tb storage, full display, 3,4,5 cameras. You are only adding things that already there in the first place. nothing innovation if you understand what innovation means

                            2) I'm not sure why you keep arguing when you can simply just you know... NOT BUY THE EFFING PHONE.
                            3) Of course you hold it top and bottom as well. Those are the sides too...

Srsly you watch all video vertically ? As for the casing, you never see before a casing that bumps up and cover the edges of the glass surface ? Now we are talking about full display in the future which has no freaking edges on the screen. For sure the case wont block the display. I am glad some manufacturer still provide bezels for their phone and not removing every feature on the front just to please people which care form than features

no such thing as future or have to embrace or not

                                  That's stupid.

Get ready for a world full of random activations. I'll buy a cheap phone before I'll buy that.

If you guys would stop promoting no bezels just to check a box, manufacturers would stop chasing no bezels and do something useful.

XZP LUL, 28 Jan 2019doesn't that defeat the purpose of full screen when u need ... moreA phone is held by the sides, not the front. And there will always be minimal (even marginal) bezels for the case to hold onto. A case merely provides more surface area on the sides to hold onto.

Like Notch you actually can't see any difference if compare to formal squared display, so why need to introduce notch as an invention!?
Like water drop you still have a block area, you can't have straight line on top, if you turn on the black bar to cover water drop you get less display, silly enough! It also less space for better front camera and dual front facing stereo speakers maybe also front flash.
Like Punch hole you can see dead pixels "Always on" the corner! Lmao!! Piss me off!!!
Like Slider front camera, sorry you lost waterproof and the gap definitely have dust on and you lost space for better hardware.
Like dual screen, once again you lost space for better hardware because of dual display occupy most of the hardware area and more difficult for repair or teardown.
Finally only one solution is better than camera under display: nano front camera match with less bezel but not bezel-less.
