Last part kinda spits into the water resistant excuse that sealed battery fans keep using.

The use of their own official officers as the actor only helps to lessen it much further, but they still spent some money on making this kind of video. And I haven't even talked about the setup itself.

The use of their own officials as actors only helps lessen the cost more, but the main thing remains the same.
As I've said, the money used in this advertisement could've just been spent on more practical way of advertising, such as presenting the beauty of the product (a great way to attract people so easily).
These videos don't make any sense, and there are other similar videos on YouTube already. People don't tolerate those kinds of doings, and if they're looking for crazy tests on smartphones, they would look for JerryRigEverything or TechRax instead of Xiaomi.

Shanti Dope, 26 Jan 2019Okay, so some fun but unrealistic tests are fine, but this ... moreWhat money? You can literally record these videos on your own, it doesn't take millions to record yourself smashing a watermelon with your phone. One of the reasons Xiaomi can keep their phones at lower costs is because they don't do large-scale advertising like literally every other company. I'd rather pay for the phone than the excessive advertising.
Heck, the majority of phone stores at the local mall here is mainly full of oppo and vivo, ads literally everywhere AND people stationed right in front of the escalator landing to pester you to buy their sH^)&#;. Christ.

Still waiting for the Redmi Note 7 bomb shelter!

As I said yesterday, I am gonna say it again. More and more cringey it's getting from Xiaomi (Redmi), like staaaaaahp. It's getting outta hands now. We don't even need this. We will buy the Note 7 or Note 7 Pro, but right now instead of this cringe, take care of your Software (MIUI) and make it minimalistic like Oxygen OS.

Shanti Dope, 26 Jan 2019Okay, so some fun but unrealistic tests are fine, but this ... moreExactly! Their ego is completely out of hand.

Enough of this nonsense news about redmi note 7

Okay, so some fun but unrealistic tests are fine, but this is almost getting out of hand already.
                                      Like dude, the point is?
How about they invest the money used in these videos and tests for making the product available worldwide instead, heck even do more proper advertisements in every region of the world?
I feel like the cost of these kinds of unnecessary videos could've been used to improve the product itself.
