The whole purpose of a free world is to have the right to choose, and based on the sales of the phone's with incredible displays I'm thinking the manufacturers don't give 2 s#it's about you opinion.

Lyndino, 29 Jan 2019Are you still hung up on the fps being close to the camera?... moreWell, is it strange that I want smartphones to be convenient and comfortable to use?
And if you didn't touched cameras, it doesn't mean that other people didn't encounter that problem.

I own a Mate 20 X and I absolutely love it. Amazing battery life, great performance, fast battery charge, wonderful large AMOLED screen, great cameras, super fast fingerprint scanner, great dual and the waterdrop notch does not bother me at all.
I highly recommend it.

AnonD-558092, 28 Jan 2019You are hard to follow. You complain about too high resolut... moreNo, I just don't exaggerate =)
Btw, here is my "perfect smartphone checklist":
* Good quality front-facing stereo-speakers;
* Snapdragon 670/675/710, 6 Gb of LPDDR4X RAM, 128 Gb of UFS 2.1 storage; more is unnecessary;
* 70 mm width (or more) FHD+ high quality not curved OLED screen, no notch/hole is a plus;
* Less than 8 mm side bezels (but not too little);
* 5000 mAh good quality battery with Quick Charge 4+ support, don't care about wireless charging, don't care if phone will be thicker (Asus ZB602KL has it and it's alright);
* USB 3.1 with Type-C connector, exFAT OTG support, don't care about microSD;
* Fully functional NFC with full Google Pay support;
* Fingerprint scanner on the back, camera placement must be far from FPS;
* Single 1.55 µm 12MP rear camera, single 1.0 µm 20 MP (2.0 μm 5 MP mode) front camera;
* Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, or better;
* Gestures navigation (Apple/Xiaomi/Meizu style, not OnePlus);
* Black front panel, no fancy colors of back panel;
* IP68 and MIL-STD-810G ratings (or good repairability) wouldn't be bad;

WQHD is useless high resolution, FHD - isn't.

You know what? I'll make you the perfect phone. It's a flat, 640×480 TN display. It has a SD855. Happy now? No useless high resolution, high quality display. Will be cheap as dirt.

AnonD-558092, 28 Jan 2019Lol. So having a higher resolution screen is a compromise? ... moreWhy all of you keep saying about changing resolution in settings, when I'm talking about resolution of actual screen. Why should you pay for extra pixels when you don't need them?
What do you mean by "dull device"?
It doesn't look better. And side edges are very small on Mate 20 (not "Pro") too (actually, a bit smaller than on SGN9), which has not only not-curved, but also not-OLED screen. Though it's not that much of a value in smartphone.
Performance - yes. Performance to price ratio - not.

- me... moreLol. So having a higher resolution screen is a compromise? Guess what, you can reduce resolution in settings. Or perhaps you want us all to do like Apple and buy a 750p display for flagship price?
Performance is on point. Never tried the SD845 version I take it.
I don't like the curved edges, but it gives a much less dull device. It looks better and the edges are very small. Never encountered any issues with that.
The S-Pen is an amazing tool. You must try it to judge it.
Again, the performance is beyond any reproach. Try it and quit looking at a benchmark!!!!!!
