LG started to lost its unique selling point and position after removed the dedicate removable battery from the handset. Their seal battery is not as good as the competitors.

Sad that I dont see many people using LG phones here now. Most people here are using craps from vivo and oppo and many use Huawei here. Xiaomi, OnePlus, HTC, Sony, LG and others are almost non existent here except Iphones.

LG = Lumang Gawa (Aged/Old Products)

Their products aged horribly fast with no updates after a year of release.

While peoples in west countries like in europe or US priorities security and innovatives like Android 1, NFC or latest features, Asians like India, SEA and others are going for value for money product... That's why their turned to chinese brand for it's price over specs... Major players like samsung and apple are losing market here now... If they don't changed their marketing, focus group and strategy, they'll losing grounds in these markets...

Korean must keep up with chinese price and specs..

That's how samsung lost it's market in india. Modst people are looking for worth for bucks products like poco and realme... esp in poor asian country... They are not very keen to any features that is not of their daily use.... something that they can drop for lesser price....Innovation is no 4 on their list after perfomance and durability... If you can't produce bang 4 bucks device they asking, then you'll have to admit your defeat...

For every one HMD Nokia I see someone using whether in the malls or buses or trains, I'd see about a dozen people using Xiaomi's (roughly the same ratio for Oppo/Vivo and Huawei; in fact, I see MORE people using OnePlus phones than Nokia phones). That's how severe a FAILURE Nokia is in this country...

They also was pulling away from Indonesia last month.

You can thank the Chinese companies (it started with Oppo, then Huawei, then Vivo, finally XIAOMI; Meizu would occasionally make a splash or two) for LG's death.

Ever since the Chinese doubled down in the Philippine market about two years ago, LG has practically died as a cellphone company to the minds of people...

If they need to streamline operations to get back into profit I get it but to pull out of a fast growing economy like PH is a mistake.

Sad that sony HTC and others got really low, and sad to see people being so uncompetitive. I hope at least sony gets back on track.

                            That's not a good thing.

LG just needs to focus on few handsets a year. It should be based on it's Nexus experience and pure Android.
In that ways, Nokia has done a good job by going in for Android one for all of it's phone. That coupled with sturdy built of phones will help then in long run.

Very good!!! Hope they will do the same all around the world. Except Southern Korea. One and only place where LG updating their phones. Let's them use own crap.

I want to vacation to the Philippines ... i will not be seeking an LG store over there.
