Sony's big Android competitors (never mind the iPhone) all moved to big ROM capacities from 128 GB to 256 to 512 and higher with the coming S10.
Sony on the other hand barely moving from 64 to 128.
Always always lagging behind in some major spec or the other.

You know what. I might just buy a Sony phone, had Z2 some years ago and I liked it, some flaws sure but XZ4 seems like a pretty darn good option this year. If price is lower than S10+, Ill go for it.

Will be announced in February and available in July. Nice one SONY. You didn't learn anything from your mistakes in recent past. And make them again?!?
This is why SONY sell less than 9million devices last year and it is near to close the mobile business for good.

Since the OLED on the XZ3 is a success, I hope Sony uses their Bravia OLED on this phone and include a 3.5mm headphone jack. If Sony's algorithms didn't improve, I hope the guys at XDA would program a Google Camera mod for it. That'll make DxOMark score 110 with that combo.

6GB of RAM, 128 GB hard drive default, and 4,400 mAH battery. It's about time Sony steps up from its issues. If it keeps Stereo Speakers, goes the perfect camera tri-fecta of regular, monochrome, and wide-angle lens, and has a chamber or liquid cooling to prevent throttling, this could be an epic phone. Of course the price tag has to be good too.

recow, 30 Jan 2019anybody know how thick this phone is ? or the dimensions ?Height 166.9 x Width 72.4 x 8.2 Thick. For example my vanilla Mate 20 are 6.5 inch screen as well but wider at 77.2. It is still pocketable.
While at XZ4 72.4 width are nice & acceptable for a 6.5 inch phone because of the 21:9 screen ratio, 166.9 height are a bit too tall.

for me this phone is much better than S10 that will be released this year. that stupid punch hole notch. irritate me a lot. skip Samsung this year.

Seems like massive improvement from Sony. There are rumors that it has a new big camera sensor that supports 8k video recording as well.
Well their mobile department still not gonna dying anytime soon. Sadly in my country, Sony smartphone are already dead.

Well, if this stays away from a notch or display cutout for the front facing camera and has a battery capacity even close to this one, I might have just found my next phone.
Of course after testing it for a while first, because I'm not too sure how I feel about a 6.5" display. But let's hope this rumour turns out te be true.
